The gun violence in Chicago is out of contrtol. On the day president Barack Obama was in Chicago to speak on violence another innoncent teenager lost their life to sensless acts of violence. Jim McPherson was charged with the murder of Janay McFarlane. Janay was killed hours after President Obama gave his speech. Jim McPherson bond was set at three million dollars.

This is a trend in Chicago that needs to come to an end. Janay and her friends went to a liquor store Jim starred them down in the store, then he followed them and shot Janay in the head. She was pronnounced dead on the scene. Janay leaves behind a 4 month old son that will be raised by his grandmother.
