Home depot is set to hire 80,000 seasonal employees

Home Depot said Wednesday it will hire more than 80,000 seasonal workers for this year’s spring selling season — up from about 70,000 a year ago. It cited expectations of sales growth.

The Atlanta-based home improvement retailer said that spring is its busiest hiring and selling season, similar to the winter holiday season at other retailers.

Home Depot recently launched an Online Military Skills Translator for returning veterans to help match military skillsets with positions within the company. Both the skills translator and a calendar of military hiring events can be found at www.careers.homedepot.com/military.
