Dear Steve and Shirley, my husband and I are friends with this couple. They're fun to hang out with and all around good people, but they like for us to come over to their home a lot! Now the drive is about 45 minutes, which is not bad, it's just what you have to deal with when you get there. The house is filthy nasty! I mean clothes are everywhere, some dirty, some clean, pee stains in the couches, food laying around, trash on the floor, and OMG THE BATHROOM! There's brown/black "stuff" stuck eveywhere around the toilet in splatters. There are beer bottles all over the sink, the toilet tissue is sometimes yellow, cigarette buds everywhere...just NASTY! I can not even drink a glass of water out there because food is always stuck in the dishes and eating is just out of the question.. I go down the street to the gas station to use the bathroom or get something to drink. I really like hanging out with them, but I just cannot stand the nasty home. I've asked the girl why she doesn't clean and she says we just don't want to worry about the little things too much! My husband laughs he thinks its funny that I never sit down or use the bathroom, mind you he just goes outside. I was not raised to handle this level of nastiness! How can I make them understand if they want us to continue coming over, they will have to clean up! Please Shirley don't say I could help clean up, because they don't make gloves thick enough for me to even do that! We're all in our late 20's.
