Easter Seals Disability Services is once again holding their Walk With Me Chicago event to raise awareness for children with disabilities. The event will take place Sunday, October 20th, at Soldier Field. Registration is at noon, with the opening ceremonies at 1 PM and the walk following that.
From Easter Seals' website:
"The first five years of life are the years of learning that shape kids' futures. Yet every year, more than 1 million children with unidentified delays and disabilities enter school with learning and health issues that put them far behind their peers.
According to the National Survey of Children's Health, one in five households with children has a child with a special health care need and could benefit from screening and services, yet less than 20 percent of children under the age of five receive a developmental screening.
Children with disabilities are counting on you for the support they need to achieve a brighter future. Register your team, and share this information with your family and friends who have young children and start fundraising today."
Please pass this along to your friends and family so we can all show our support for those who need our help.
