Congresswoman Duckworth to hold two events focused on business August 23
Washington D.C. - On Friday, August 23, 2013, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) will hold a manufactoring discussion with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency of Planning (CMAP) and the Golden Corridor Manufactoring Group and a Small Business Workshop with regional directors from Small Business Administration, General Services Administration and the Illinoid Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunities.
The first event will stress the importance of manufactoring to the regional economy, and showcase new CMAP analysis on the nexus of manufactoring and freight clusters in northeastern Illinois. This event will serve as an opportunity to learn more about the issues facing manufactoring and actions that public and private stakeholders can take to support this important facet of the reginonal economy.
