In his first interview since taking a leave of absence in early June, Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. says that he is ''not well'' and attends doctor's appointments twice a day.

Jackson spoke with a photographer with the online newspaper The Daily Monday on the stoop of his D.C. home.

Jackson did not address the allegation that he misused money from supporters to decorate his home. The Wall Street Journal reported Jackson is the subject of a federal criminal investigation.

Jackson, who is running for re-election is being treated for bipolar disorder and has not worked since early June.
