Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres recieved the highest U.S. award for achievement in comedy on Monday, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. How awesome is that? This award is a really big deal and I must admitt, she deserves every bit of it! She just seems sincere in all that she does and goes in with a passion without caring about the preconcieved notions people have about her. She's different, a good kind of diffenet of coarse. Ellen was admired for being one of the first female comic whose unique talk show has helped establish the format for daytime television in recent years. I wish her many more achievements to come.

My name is Kris Kelley,your midday host for V103. I'll be keeping you company during your workday, Monday-Friday from 9AM-2PM.
I've got a PASSION for music, so I'll definitely be playing the BEST...all your favorite R&B from today and all the Old School you love: Luther Vandross, Jill Scott, Marvin Gaye, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson, Maxwell, Mary Mary...you name it!I'm originally from Philadelphia, but I attended the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in English. I got my start in radio at WAMO in Pittsburgh. In 1998, I moved to Detroit where I hosted the midday shift at WJLB. I moved to Chicago in 2007 and I love it! The people, culture, restaurants (especially), the lake, the nightlife and entertainment. Oh, and did I mention the food??
