In case you didn’t notice gas prices have skyrocketed over the past few weeks. Walking around down town Chicago,  I noticed gas was almost $5 a gallon! California gas prices averaged $4.66 a gallon recently. Thank goodness gas prices are predicted to drop gradually over a period of time. "I am concerned that refineries have no incentive for keeping their operations safe and fully functional because their profits increase greatly following any type of disruption, whether it is the consequence of a potentially deadly explosion or failed piping," said Sen. Mark Leno (D-San Francisco), chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Bay Area Transportation.

Lets hope these refineries and big business gas providers get it together so we’re not at the gas station making life decisions as Kat Williams would say.
