Encouraging Chicago residents to not only get registered to vote but also be informed voters, the Chicago Urban League is hosting the second in a series of presidential debate viewing parties.  Tomorrow evening the Urban League will open its doors for community members to watch Vice-President Joe Bidden and Congressman Paul Ryan discuss foreign and domestic policy in a debate moderated by Martha Raddatz, ABC News chief foreign correspondent.

Andrea L. Zopp, president and CEO of the Chicago Urban League said, “This election is about us. Black voter apathy is simply wrong in light of our history and the current attacks across the country on our right to vote.  It’s our community. It’s our economic security. It’s our child’s education. It’s our heritage to fight for the right to vote. This is personal.”

This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7:30 PM. To RSVP for the event, please email rsvp@thechicagourbanleague.org or call 773-451-3524.
