This past Sunday, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame officially announced their class of 2024 and it’s full of Black People Magic!
The inductees include quite a few favorites and historical figures from R&B and hip hop… in the performer category, it’s Mary J. Blige, A Tribe Called Quest, and Kool & the Gang along with Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton and Ozzy Osbourne.
The Hall is also bestowing its Musical Excellence Award to Dionne Warwick and Motown songwriter Norman Whitfield… blues legend Big Mama Thornton will be honored with the Musical Influence Award and iconic producer Suzanne de Passe will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
The induction ceremony is October 19th at the Rock and Roll Hall in Cleveland and will be streamed live on Disney+ and air later on ABC and Hulu.
