No On Campus Housing For Loyola University Chicago This Fall

One of Chicago's universities will not be offering on campus student housing this fall. Loyola University Chicago President Jo Ann Rooney made the virtual announcement Thursday, disappointing many students.

Because of the threat of COVID-19, the administration at the school decided to make the move. Originally there was a proposal to house students so that each would have their own rooms, and others would stay in nearby hotels, but that idea was shut down.

In addition to students not being able to live on campus, the university will also hold most of their classes online. The first day of school is August 24.
