A Lot of 'Firsts' This Year For The BET Awards

There are a couple of "firsts" for the BET Awards this year. This is one of those award shows that you just cannot miss because at least one of your favorite artists or celebrities will either be walking the red carpet, presenting an award or performing at the show.

But for the first time this year BET has decided to move on with the show -- virtually. At first I wondered how they would pull it off but they can because earlier this year BET hosted a virtual fund raising event for those affected by COVID-19 and it worked. It was really good.

Another first for BET is that this will be the first time in history the annual awards show will air on a major network. Yup, you can catch the show not only on BET and BETHer, but also on CBS and other ViacomCBS networks. You can also stream the show on CBS All Access.

The 2020 BET Awards air Sunday, June 28 at 8 ET. and will be hosted by TV personality and comedian Amanda Seales.
