John Legend Coaches Chicagoan Darious Lyles on New Season of 'The Voice'

I don't know what it is about John Legend and his connection to people from Chicago, but I like it, I really like it. Following last season of 'The Voice' where John coached Chicagoan Katie Kadan, on Monday's season premiere the Grammy winner picked another Chicagoan, Darious Lyles to be on his team.

Lyles has an interesting story of growing up in the Chi, being adopted and later reconnecting with his biological mother. He is determined to use his talent on a major platform and was immediately grabbed up by John after his performance of Sam Smith's "How Do You Sleep?"

Of course I'm going to be keeping my eye on the homeboy this season and I know with John's help as his coach he will go far in this competition. Check out 'The Voice' on NBC.
